Sorry, laz, but my heart died on Sept 12 and I am for killing every citizen of every other country. Iraq was not a direct link to Al Queda. It was more of a "We can't pussyfoot with anyone anymore. We HAVE to resolve the Iraq and their failure to comply with the peace treaty."

Boy the way Glen Miller played,
songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!

My heart died that day also and any true enemies to this country we should go out and kill.

that being said we created our own monsters.... if we said we we are going to clean up our own mess without making up shit . i think everyone would support the war.

it's attitudes like that that make everyone hate us. you need to wake up.

I certainly don't care what the likes of France and Germany and Russia think of us. Nor Do I honestly care what any nation in the middle east thinks of us.

I would like Canada and Mexico to have okay images of us. Enough to keep them from trying to fuck with us. Hah!. But not enough to let them forget who's boss.

What 19 Saudi Arabians did in 2001 made us take the gloves off. Or it should have. No one is our friend. Or at least not everyone is going to be our friend. And we shouldn't care who is our friend. We need to portray the image that we aren't going to pussy foot around. And if our actions in Iraq make some lunatic leaders think hmmmm maybe I will give up my wmd programs. then party, bonus.

Stop worrying so much about what these people think of us. They are all scumbags if you ask me.

Quote:Common misonception. Sure Bush had hopes that a democracy would be put into their new system to benefit us. However, as much as in picking those interim leaders to set up the government would have helped that, the new government very much could have opted for communism or any such thing. And with elections within a year, the people could pretty much vote in people that hate America. It's not a puppet government in the long run. It could backfire on us. The point is in ousting Saddam and putting in this interim government who is bringing them a free election where they dont have to worry about getting their heads chopped off for voting for the 'wrong guy', we essentially gave them some idea of freedom.

That being said I think I might move to Iraq to take advantage of their flat tax.

You have to be naive if you don't think that the new govenment is anything but a puppet govement for our own selfish needs. [/quote]

Puppet government now to a degree. I don't know if you have noticed it or not though not every Iraqi loves us and if they exercise their new right to vote they can vote in folks who will hate us. What kind of puppet government will that become? WE didn't throw in a dictator like we have in the past. Open your eyes.

Intelligence agencies worldwide! thought these things to be true. Who made up shit?

Further, we still don't know that they are not true.

The UN should be told to go fuck themselves as many times as possible.

The UN was our creation!!!!

Saddam was our creation, Castro was our creation, Bin laden was our creation (essentially). What's your point? Everything starts out as a good idea and some things get out of hand. THe UN is a pointless piece of shit entity at this point. It should be destroyed. Theoretically, not saying we should blow it up.

Your response makes it sound like hey we created it thus we control and henceforth we would be telling ourselves to fuck ourselves. Not the case. We don't control everything we create.

The difference here is, we have no problem using the UN when it suits our needs like say the first time we were in Iraq. But, when the system WE set up goes against our wishes, we turn around and tell them to go fuck themselves... then as things didn't work out so well we go right back asking for help. I can see no better example for the meaning of hypocrisy. Either tell them to fuck off or use them... but to waffle back and forth as per our needs is a disgrace.

Exactly, as I said before I have no idea what is true anymore. All these intelligence agencies thought it to be true which used to count for a lot in the past. Obviously, it no longer should be taken as the honest to god truth.

If any nation doesn't agree with the UN's rulings on anything they can go against it. They may face a backlash because of it. WE took that chance.

Naturally you would like that backing of the UN to create a broader alliance of nations in this war. That's ideal, but it always doesn't happen. THe UN wouldn't back us so we put together a smaller coalition of nations willing to go in and do the job.

Don't make it sound like we came running back to the UN with licking our wounds beggin for their help after the fact. The UN wants in regardless of what they say. Now that it's all done (meaning the regime change not the overall war [as we are still fighting pockets of foriegners and iraqis that our resisting.])

But we already know what the causes of the UFOs were.
