I wonder if this story will hurt his candidacy?

Flynt sued over sex toys in dishwasher
07 August 2003

LOS ANGELES: Hustler magazine publisher and would-be California governor Larry Flynt has been sued for sexual harassment by a former employee who claims she found sex toys in the company dishwasher.

Elizabeth Rene Raymond, a former executive assistant to two top officers of Flynt's company, Larry Flynt Publications, sued for sexual harassment and wrongful dismissal from her job on Monday, the same day as Flynt announced he was running in California's October gubernatorial recall election under the slogan "a smut peddler who cares".

Raymond, who was fired from her job a year ago, claims that Flynt fostered a hostile work environment. She said in the lawsuit she had found sex toys in the company dishwasher that were "used on the prostitutes who visited his office." Raymond was dismissed shortly after complaining to her supervisors.

Flynt Publications did not immediately return calls for comment on the lawsuit.

Flynt, 61, told a news conference on Monday he planned to run in the October ballot to unseat California Gov. Gray Davis, but would not spend millions campaigning if private polling showed that his background in pornography and gambling made him unacceptable to voters.

Thanks, Teenweekdwellar.

Like Flynt has an actual bit of hope of winning? He, as well as about 300 other have wasted their $300 in applying for the canidacy.

I think it's $3500 and 65 signatures of registered voters. There's a chain of 99 cents store in LA that is offering to pay the fee and get the sigs for anyone age 99 who wants to run. Have fun California.
It's all a part of my secret evil plan, pal. Just watch.

I heard this morn that Arianna Huffington is also running. Sucks that an intelligent, well-educated, informed woman who would make a great governor won't get any press because of outrageous candidate like Larry and Arnold.

That's the way with everyone that is running. The only people that are going to get attention are Arnold and Larry.

The millionaire congressman that started the whole recall campaign backed out of the race when Arnold stepped up.

It's a sad, crazy time in The Golden State.

Arnold's finished after this endorsement. Formal or not, kind words coming from someone with a pathetic 53% approval rating would not make me feel too confident in swaying the public.

Quote: Bush stopped short of a formal endorsement, but he had some kind words for fellow Republican Schwarzenegger -- who had campaigned for the first President Bush.

\"I think he'd be a good governor,\" Bush said.
