Just take it easy. Go out, have non alcoholic drinks. If you do drink alcholic drinks, SET YOUR LIMITS!!! If you can't, then go get the help you may need. Learn how to moderate. That is the key to it all. Oh yeah and lay off the pot, too.
JESUS H. CHRIST, man, are you trying to kill her? :o

For crying out loud, that's like asking a fish to live on land. Sheesh.

yeah, and crack addicts can set limits too!!!
only one way to solve the situation
be a fuckin man and quit cold turkey
if you're at a point where you think moderation is needed
then you know you have issues
you got the book smarts
now use your street smarts
i wish you the best

This is your first test. You fail if you drink. You are going to have get over telling people that you aren't going to drink for a while, if you don't want to drink for a while.
NO! I AM WHITE FOLKS!

then I guess I "failed". I had 3 drinks. But I was smart. I sipped them, paid a lot of attantion to how fast everyone else was drinking and kept at the same pace. Got a little buzzed but didn't lose control.

I did try to stick to my two drink limit; when they came around after #2 I said no thanks but the boss said, "Come on, have one more," so I succumed to peer pressure. I know, excuses excuses.....

BTW, I will NEVER quit pot. As long as I'm smart about where when and how much, it does not detract from my Campaign to Become a Responsible Adult.
