you consider shai hulud and hatebreed metal? i think of them as just straight hardcore. i got the leak of the new shai hulud a few days ago and its awesome. the new singer seems weak at first but it definitely grows on you. :bouncy:

see, I never liked that label "hardcore"...Early 90s "hardcore" meant one thing and now it means something else.

people call Killswitch Engage "hardcore" and I'm like, "nope, they are metal" but hey, what can ya do?


and I sure wouldn't lump "hardcore" and "emo" together. I love Coheed for certain reasons just like I love my metal bands.

as much as I love/worship metal, I do enjoy jazz and classic rock and some rap and classical music as well...imma musician, gotta have wide influences because in the end, it helps you write better material. (at least, I'd like to think so.)

i love classic rock like the doors, ccr, zappa, beatles, zep, yardbirds, hendrix, clapton, cream, grateful dead.

and i love tosh and marley.

my parents were old hippies, they named me after john lennon's mom and i was apparently concieved at a grateful dead show.
