I was reading a review of Springsteens Shea Stadium show and some of the letters in the Op Ed page in the daily News. This guy really should shut the FUCK up. First off playing American Skin(41 Shots) in NYC was a bad move. Especially with NYPD doing security. Then talking about how Bush should be impeached. I really don't give a rats ass what this guy has to say about ANY politician. Youre a fuckin musician, play your music and fuckin entertain me and others. This goes for anyone in the entertainment biz. STFU and just make your movies. I doubt most people want to listen to your political rants. And don't fuckin start me with Tom Morello or the fuckin Beasties, playing a benefit concert for a twice convicted cop killer. Just shut up and make your records. You say how fucked up this country is, yet you love the royalty checks. Scumbags. That's my Friday night Rant. Thank you. I may make this a regular thing. Jimmys weekly rant against stuff. Springsteen's singing voice annoys me Whenever he talks, I assume it would annoy me as well.

Now, when you write, you tend to hear your voice in your head; I'm sure Springsteen experiences the same phenonmenon whenever he writes anything.

So, when he wrote his OpEd letter, he heard his own voice. If I read it, I would hear HIS voice while reading it thus/then end up annoyed by yup, his voice

So, before even reading a word, I know that Springsteen's writings will annoy me.


In conclusion, Springsteen sucks.

Wait a second.

1) Bruce has given the same speech before every show. He says the same thing: He doesn't point the finger at anyone, he just says we have to examine what our leaders do.

Never ONCE has he said "Impeach Bush". I want to know where this letter is.

2) When will people learn to read lyrics instead of blindly listening to the media?

The MEDIA said that Springsteen was bashing cops with 41 Shots. That's not the case. You read the lyrics, you realize it's about a tragic case, of how the blacks are victimized, but the cops felt remorse at what they did. It's not "all cops are bad".

Does anyone realize how much Springsteen has done for Cops and Firefighters? PAtrick King, 9/11... just to name a few.

It seems that "the boss" is believing his own hype after all these years, so now he has to preach to the masses like any politician would.


Besides, he's been singing the same goddamned song for the last 25 years. To inspire a bunch of wanna be's like Mellencamp, and a whole slew of others that i won't mention.
