Weaver should not even equal the Brown in Brown's Fruit of the looms.

Shouldn't you be polishing some apples there, Mistar JimmyAppleseed? Tongue

Let's face it, this is not so much a trade of Weaver for Kevin Brown, so much as it's a trade of Andy Pettitte for Brown. Weaver was a goner eventually, but it absolutely amazes me that the Yanks would simply leave Pettite hanging in limbo long enough for another team to woo him away. I guess they (and by "they", I mean Steinbrenner) thought he wouldn't legitimately accept an offer from any other team, so the Yanks were free to take their own sweet time and chase Sheffield, Colon, and Vasquez all over the place.

The Yanks don't normally make bad moves (and even if they do, dammit, they got the money and gumption to spend to make up for mistakes), but this was a bad move letting Pettitte go. A 31-year-old proven postseason winner for a 38-year-old who, while still good, is prone to injury? Not good. Not good at all. :disappointed:
