Is it me?

A year ago next month my soon-to-be landlord said he was building these apartments where my brother lives and they'd be done last august. we signed on to live in one. August came and went in September he said November. November came and went. My landlord now (my uncle) wants to sell the house we are in so we called the landlord-to-be and pushed him to get this shit down so he said April. Last week he said this Thursday. Today he said Saturday the inspector will come in and if all goes well we will be in Sunday or Monday.

Motherfucker. One problem will be that there is no railing on the porch stairs yet. He best spend the last week building a railing or I'm gonna have to go live in my car. My house will be bought and settled April 15th. Any suggestions on getting this thing finished asap? I already told the guy I'm not signing the lease until I know I'm moving in that day.

This has been the extent of my past month or so. Moving. My house right now is almost empty.

Fin.

I meant all the adult orientated things like say home improvements, kids, marriage, you know... responsibilities *shivers*

my biggest ordeal this past weekend was getting past the Autocide mission in GTA Vice City

Is today the worst day of your life?

Doesn't sound too promising. I would think if there's no railing, they won't be able to get a CO because it's a safety issue. Why didn't you want to continue to rent or buy grandma's house? I'd start looking into hotel rates if I were you.

Sometimes I wish I had no responsibilities.

We can talk about home improvements. Or how about bridal showers? Other than those 2 things, and work, that's about all I've been doing lately.

Well 9 days ago, a bunch of Mexicans put up drywall in the hallways of my house and I already double coated them with primer and yellow paint. 5 empty cans I think. I still have to prime and paint the bedroom closet (previously discussed here).

And I went to a baby shower 7 days ago.

mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,

My landlord now is a lawyer. You know he talks out of every side of his mouth possible. Or so it seems. Last April when my grandmom died he said we would find a way to keep the house in the family. So I felt great. In June I found out that he apparently meant my dad was going to try and find a way to buy the house and I guess I could pay the payments as being my 'rent'. The payments were going to be way too much of course and my wallet couldn't handle it. But we already had our name pencilled in at these new apartments so we at least had an option still. There was no realy buyer and we werent really trying to sell my grandmas house until this fall my neighbor expressed interest to purchase it and put his parents in it. So then that sent everything in motion to get us out and get this house off my uncle's hand. I would've loved to stay there. Wish I could've bought it. But this being a lesson for anyone else out there don't fuck up your credit. It has long lasting effects.

That's the understatement of the year. I was lucky that way...what I lacked in money, I made up for in great credit scores.

I'm sure everything will work out, but make sure you have a contingency plan, just in case.

That's not too bad, you had someone else doing the tough work. We just gutted the bathroom and are in the process of putting everything back together. Sucks with one bathroom.

And was that baby shower for your baby? If so, it doesn't count as a miserable time because you benefit from it.

The contingency plan is I'll have to stay at my parents eeessshhh.. good things about it is It's down the street from the new place and we got this storage been on the same street for 50 bucks a month 5 feet wide by 5 feet tall by 20 feet deep which we can fit most of our stuff in until we move.

My wife totally screwed up her credit to the point bankruptcy was the only option that would help so she gets a clean slate to build good credit on. My credit is okay. Just not good enough to get a house or car on my own. Even if I could I wouldn't be able to afford the payments.
