Is it me?

Does Mrs. Header work as well, or does she stay home with the munchkin? Depending on the area you're interested in, there are inexpensive small houses to be had. I got my house 4 years ago (my mom co-signed because of a high debt to income ratio), but I refinanced in a year and got her off the papers. There's all sorts of programs out there...don't write the idea off completely. You never know.

Well, now my list has grown incredibly:

Master Closet,
Base boards
Paint Ceilings
Sand and paint stairs
Install handrails on stairs
moldings where stairs/hardwood floor meet walls not covered my baseboards
door frames (new)
paint doors and old jams from fake dark wood to white
replace overhead light fixtures
replace outlet plates
Find replacement screws for outlets and lamps (Only thing that the Mexicans did to piss me off)

All from finishing the walls...

Add rake yard (offering any neighborhood kid $20)
as well as a plethora of other shit.

mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!</center>

Ugh...good luck. That's going to be a nightmare. I redid my kitchen cabinets -- sanding and whitewashing. That was bad, but at least I could move them (mostly) outside.

Why don't you just get new doors, instead of trying to paint over dark with light. Home Depot has the fake wood-look doors for like $25 a piece.

Mrs. Header is positioning herself to start school to become an lpn. Then she'll be making more than me. Because I suck. Not to live the Office Space scenario I've considered accepting the situation and moving to a field that could essentially pay more but doesn't involve a desk. Manual labor and whatnot. Lord knows I need the exercise.

My wife stays at home with our son and works at night for a temp agency when there is work which there is none right now. We've been waiting to move this past month before we reassess the whole deal and look at what we are going to do jobwise.

And I figure we will wait a few years before we look into houses because she'll be done with school then.

Header, do you live anywhere near Hainesport? I could get you a job as a helper installing showers, mirrors, shelving, etc.

My List:
• Finish GTA Vice City before the new GTA comes out
• Get more pot for the coming weekend
• Catch the last Ranger home game on TV Wednesday
• Finish my collection of obtaining the old variety MUppet show on DVD (have 4 so far)
• Try to stay awake during work hours

No but thanks. I'm sure I can get a job rather easily doing anything like that. Low man on the totem pole of course. It was kind of a slap in the face, last year I toyed with the idea of working a 3rd shift job so my wife could work during the day since there is all kinds of work then but daycare costs would cancel out her pay. So we both applied at acme. They called me and not her. A couple weeks later I was in the hospital with a hernia so I guess it's good I didn't take it.

It would've been a pay cut but the idea was that if we were both making a smaller amount than I am making now then you combine those and you are making a little more. And she gets to get out of the house during the day for her sanity.

Really, you're going to overwork yourself. You must be exhausted by the end of the week.
