Cable Company Blues

I have DishNetwork, and am very happy with my service. My sister has Comcast cable and called up to cancel her service because it cost too much for fewer channels than my Dish.

She calls up to cancel it, and they offer her Digital Cable with HBO On Demand, all of the HBOs for a year, and a larger channel package for $39.99 a month if they kept their service for 1 year.

Evidently the price and subscription war is causing some companies to offer great deals, so call up and bitch a little bit and see what they'll do to prove they're better than the competition.

When we moved and called to transfer our cable to the new place they offered a similar deal so we took it. THen we had problems initially with our signal so we called COmcast up and instead of helping us through the problem the bitch on the other end spent about 15 minutes trying to get to the bottom of how we got a good deal like that when they werent running any promotions.

My wife was bitching to the chick on the phone and I was in the background yelling at her too. We are such great human beings. I think we are still getting the deal. We'll see when the bill comes.
