As for this whole gay thing, I could care less if they were born that way or if they learned it. Everyone has a right to live their life however they see fit.
This school thing though is a stupid idea in my opinion. More specifically I focus on this one statement made in that article.

How do homosexuals plan on surviving in the real world, if they shelter themselves from it throughout their high school years? This is the life they lead and this is who they are. The sooner they face what a majority of society thinks of them, the easier the transition will be. Instead they will come out of this high school thinking the world is a beautiful place and it's not.

Yes, they are entitled an education like everyone else and maybe this is an easier way for them to achieve that, but once that's over no one will cater to them again. The sooner they learn that, the better off they'll be.

So, in other words, there is no such thing as "developing an acquired taste for something" when it comes to this, is there?

Let's go with the genetic/biological lesson, then. Genetics dictates that for an offspring to develop a trait, one or both of his parents must already have that trait in order to pass it along. For a child to be gay, one or both of his parents would need to have this homosexual gene, OR the gene would have to have existed in one of perhaps three immediate generations preceding, because after that point the gene for homosexuality would be so recessive that it would probably never emerge again-- and this is assuming that each time a member of the family married someone from another family, at least one member of the second family had a homosexual gene.

(In addition, one or both of the parents would have to have the gene in a <b>dominant</b> stage, or else the child will carry a latent trait that does not develop).

Now, what occurs if neither parent has this homosexual gene, neither of their parents has it, nor their grand or great-grandparents... and the child becomes gay? How could you explain it on genetics, when any gene for that trait was nonexistent? Would you just assume that one of their ancestors must have been a "closet homosexual", as you put it?

Yes. The school is a bad idea on many levels. But if it is a <i>private institution</i>, they can be as (unfairly) exclusive as they would like. We have all-boys and all-girls schools in this city, so if they want this, they can have it using their own money, and the money of parents who send their kids there.

If it is a public school, that is a different story altogether.

There are fags that became fags cause someone touched their wee wee when they were little.

There are fags that are just rebels with no clue, so they rebel against their sexuality.

There are fags who love the attention.

Fags are fags in the end. The reasons should not even matter. Can't we love fags for the fags they are, instead of hating them for what we are not?

While I subscribe to the notion that homosexuality is biological, I do not agree with having a seperate school for gays. It is segregation and going backwards. Gays should realize that this is counterproductive to their acceptance in mainstream society.
