I'm wondering how big a percentage of people are taking away from watching television by being on the internet.
Right now I'm watching king of Mountain Biking Championship racing, sponsored by Sirius and it has the worst host/commentators ever. Just waiting for a nice mangling.
at home, i have the tv on. at school, i dont usually, but thats just because my desk is literally further back than the tv, so i have to get up to watch things
Now that baseball is over, the only time my TV will ever be on will be to watch:
-DVD/DivX movies
-Porn
-Family Guy
-South Park
-Football
-College basketball every once in a while

No reason to watch anything else. If I do, I get completely pissed off at how I just wasted so much time watching/flipping through such garbage. Then I'll put in something like License to Drive or Fat Albert.
Ive got a tv near the PC but unless there's something that I need to see right then & there (and not be able to DVR) I dont usually watch it while I'm online.
I have winamp to watch and an 2 screens i watch what ever streaming movie or show is on while i surf.
I have both in my dorm room so I usually have both going at the same time.
It's generally off, and when it's on, I'm watching it and not paying attention to the computer. I can't multitask
