I just had to reiterate.
you're blacker than laz, just to give you a baseline.
I'm sorry but there is no way that anyone who trully feels they know hip hop, not rap but real hip hop. Can trully and honestly say that as an MC, a pure MC that many people can wreck a mic and a live show like KRS. There will also never be a better freestyler or battle rapper, while you try to spit one bar he'll put out an entire 16 track album in a weekend to diss you.

Plus if you're gonna put a Wu member on your list seperate from the group and choose Rza over Gza or Raekwon, thats just as bad.
I saw KRS-One perform once at Randalls Island about 10 or so years ago. I can honestly say I haven't seen someone completely control a crowd quite like he did, at any concert of any genre of music. This was at the Tibetian Freedom concert where a good portion of people might not have even been there for him or possibly even know who he was. It didn't matter, he had the entire stadium in the palm of his hand for those 45 minutes.

I was never lucky enough to see Rakim perform live, but i've seen everyone else on my list. Based on moving a crowd, KRS-One stands alone.
Krs much like Rakim are two of the really very few who trully, never gave a fuck about charts, air play, mtv play or anything else. Nas is somewhat like that but in the past he has tried to appeal to the masses, especially with Nastradamus and all that shit. It really wasn't until Jay tested him that Nas went back to his old self.

But KRS is a fuckin beast when it comes to rhyming and being a real emcee in its truest form, back when it was emcee and dj, BDP posse.
and nobody really understands and appreciates the history and essence of hip hop quite like KRS-One does, almost on a geeky level, which gets a little annoying at times, but you know he really lives it and its not a career or a way to get rich, its who he is.
krs loves what he does and the reason is that he is never held to anybody elses standards but his own, he's never sold out to anyone for any amount of money.

Plus as I said, no one can come close to being as good a freestyler and battle rapper.

Just look what he did to nelly a few years back, before nelly could get a single song out against KRS. KRS did an entire album dissing Nelly, which had some amazing songs. It's called Prophets Vs. Profits, you should check it out.

this is true that is why he is low in my list he is great LIVE . KRS is on his own level but with that said i love his first albums and his battle rap stuff but some of his stuff i can't enjoy as much as the others. I could see if I had young Jezzy or Mike jones on my list above him. KRS should be in his own category. Now I should have put the WU my mistake but i do enjoy the RZA's shit more than any other wu member.
so you're saying KRS is so special he deserves his own list, so you compensate by ranking him last?
he has to be on the list but not as my fav to listen too all the time.
turn in your ghetto pass.
