For me, it's usually.... new RHCP album? Same as the old RHCP album. They never seem to evolve musically.
i enjoy their consistent funky whatever it is you actually want to call it pop music

they are, but you can't compare the two since they come from different genres.
I never got into the peppers, I tried but they sounded average & poppy to me. Nothing all that special.
its crap. too finished and over-produced, and sounds all the same. and frusciante sounds like a slow-mo methedone clinic guitar player.
go listen to People on Planes and Built to Spill instead. Chili's are a bunch of bores.
yea after listening again and paying more attention there are some songs in the middle i find boring
but overall i still like it. its not mindblowing or revolutionary, just nice to listen to
my brothers like it more than I do. for me, it just doesn't do anything. Took me at least 3 listens to appreciate the new Tool album.
Also deserves a listening or two: State Radio, Band of Bees, and Galactic
I just got the new BTS, very good stuff.
