Spit, just tell the landlord you are blind and they are your seeing eye cats.
Great advice, Esquire Rolleyes
Will that hold up in a court of law?
Just playing devils advocate here.

So if I hide the fact I have a pet for 6 months and then they find out, theres nothing they can do to me?
I guaran-goddamn-tee it!!!

Mmmmmmm....I don't think it works quite that way. If you have a pet for 3 months and your landlord or building management people are aware of it and no complaints are made within those three months, they cannot force you to get rid of said animal unless, of course, you are not being a responsible pet owner or tenant. At least, that is what I have been told and what I understand of it.
but does that work in NJ as well, Luna?

sorry, I'm still sweating this...I have nothing in writing and no laws in NJ to back me up. I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered. I guess writing a letter would be a good place to start, right?

that is the nj law.

spit , my long post is all nj law, not ny law
Why doesn't someone just post the NJ laws already?
