I've been thinking about this and if I had to do it, I'd like it to be a definite doing because if I get caught while doing that it creates a whole realm of shit I do not want to get into, mostly dealing with people I don't want to deal with.
If I wanted a simple suicide without pain the OD is the obvious choice but hanging seems more assurable and the wrist slicing could work but it will suck if I cut the wrong way and then the getting caught and everything, it might also take awhile to bleed out. maybe pills or alcohol and the wrist slicing to make it flow easier because of the thinner blood and all.
Jumping doesn't seem foolproof and if you live it will hurt like a sonofabitch though it can be almost noble if done correctly.
the driving off seems like it could do a show - it might also be cause the deaths of innocents which would be a fun way to go out. is it considered suicide if you just open fire on a crowd and wait for police to take you out?
if i wanted something painful, i'd find someway to just remove pieces of my skin at once but still survive, I mean I know it will kill me and I'd bleed a lot but it would be a hel of a way to go out.
And there's also the added neatness of even if you kill yourself alone, to film your suicide (if you want it known as a suicide) with a video camera and timed cameras, it would just be cool to do. Fame after death.
If I wanted to do the suicide as a fake murder I think the easiest way to do that would be stabbing and to find someway to get the one I want accused's finger prints on the handle which isn't as hard as one would think.
I have a friend who tried to kill herself when we were younger with a bottle of Tylenol, and she woke up, so although I would take the pill route, I would definitely do some research to make sure I didn't wake up in restraints. I would also do the whole hose to the muffler thing and just die sleeping....definitely want to avoid pain at all costs.

Create a carbon monoxide leak in the heating system. Make it look like an accident so someone can collect the life insurance. Plus, you die in your sleep. No pain or discomfort.
