Spent 3 hrs on dinner once in a place in Kentucky, just over the border of Cinncinatti. The restaurant is the top floor of a hotel, and the bldg is round. There is a ring around the rm where the tables sit, and it rotates. Takes an hour to go full circle.

I enjoyed the experience more that I remember the food. It was the first time I ever had sorbet out though, that was cool too.
Hmmm...this thread is starting to look more and more like

Ladi, screw the sorbet. I have something to cleanse your pallet.

Give me a great piece of Delmonico steak and some taters and I'll take that anyday over some spiced lamb
If I can't pronounce most of the way the food is described, I won't eat it.

As much as I travel I have many favorites. My top 3 are

Kincaids - San Francisco
The Rathskeller - Toronto
The Rum Jungle - Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas

White Castle
What about spam, eggs, spam, ham, eggs & spam ..... that's not got much spam in it!

Fine dining that meets my standards is tough to find. My family is in the restaurant business and I REALLY am a trained chef. But if I had to choose, I'd say my favorite places are :

- Mexicali Blues in Teaneck (Noveau Mexican)
- Sarena in Manhattan (Sushi)
- Turkish Kitchen on 28th and 3rd avenue in NYC. It was better before I stole one of their chefs.
- Cosimo's in Middletown, NY (Italian)

These are the four restaurants that you don't have to ask me twice to go to. Other than that, I'd rather cook in my own kitchen.
My neighbor who is also a trained chef made me a porterhouse steak, served over garlic mashed red potatos, and fresh green beans. Before dinner was a margarita made from fresh squeezed limes and grand marnier (sp?). Best meal I've ever had....
Ram's Head Inn in Absecon or Zaberer's in Anglesea (which is gone now Sad )
i can't afford to eat out too much, so, i'll say my kitchen...
