Jim Ross has posted the latest Ross Report over at WWE.com. Here are the main notes from the update:

-Ross says that the cuts in the developmental territories was largely to save money, and make the developmental system more efficient. By concentrating on just one developmental group, the WWE hopes to better teach the wrestlers.

-The WWE wants to recruit new talent from the amateur ranks. The success of Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar should attract amateur wrestlers who wouldn't have given the WWE a second thought a couple of years ago.

-Ross praises the continuing improvement of the WWE TV product. The trading of wrestlers between rosters should provide more rivalries.

-The list of wrestlers heading out for the Australia tour includes both RAW and Smackdown wrestlers due to the wrestler trades that have taken place. The list cannot be changed, due to the time required to obtain work visas for Australia. The Melbourne show will be headlined by Hulk Hogan vs. Brock Lesnar.

-Several WWE wrestlers will make appearances on the Tough Enough 3 series, including The Rock, Ric Flair, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Bradshaw, Trish Stratus, Tommy Dreamer, Sgt. Slaughter and Rey Mysterio.

-The WWE hasn't held any meetings with Steve Austin since June 10.

-Rey Mysterio Jr. has impressed everybody who has been in contact with him since his WWE debut.

-There is no update on the Goldberg/WWE situation. There has been no official talks between the two parties.

-Kane has been released from doctor's care, and will return soon.
