I went to AC for a short trip.

I enjoyed it, basically. I haven't been there in many years. I was suprised at what a shit hole the place was. Even the hotels were no great shakes. I stayed at the Hilton and was suprised at what a small casino it had for such a large place.

Certainly AC pales in comparison to Las Vegas......
Stayed at the Luxor and enjoyed it very much....

But this thread is about gambling, do you do it often and what games do you play.
I forgot to check for the Sports Book to lay some $$$ on the Redskins for a Super Bowl victory....

But basically I am a small time gambler, Roullete Black Jack and mindless entertainment with the slots.....
I love to gamble. I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago, and I am going to Atlantic City tonight. I generally only play Blackjack, but sometimes I'll play 3 card poker. My habits are bad. I'm addicted really. I won't sit at a $5 table, cause the majority of the people sitting there don't know how to play and ruin my game.
I enjoy playing craps and blackjack. Lake Tahoe and Reno are only about 2 hours away, I just never seem to get up there. I've never been to Vegas or Atlantic City...yet!
I'm going to Atlantic City tomorrow...I'm not a big gambler because I'm poor and would rather spend my money on clothing etc. When I do gamble, I don't usually play the tables....play video poker and for some reason I like watching people play....
i play black jack. it's the only game i'll play. i try to get down to AC or up to conn. atleast once a month. i'll usually sit at the tables from the moment we get there to the moment we leave. i love the whole casino experience. like RF, i won't sit at the low limit tables. people who sit at those tables don't know the game and they fuck up the table. for those of you that don't know how to play but would like to, it's pretty simple. always assume the dealer has a 10 card lieing(sp?) face down and hit or stand accordingly, always split aces and eights and double on 11.
I love blackjack. I went to Montreal last winter just to gamble (and drink). If anyone hasn't been there, Casino de Montreal is fucking enormous. I definetly recomend it for those who love the casino experience like me.

when i went on a cruise this summer i was able to gamble. i played mostly black jack. i played some caribbean poker too, but i liked black jack better
I only play Blackjack - $20 tables. Roulette and slots are for suckers, and I don't know Craps well enough to feel confident playing.

First time I ever went to AC, I really didn't know what I was doing and split 2 face cards (I think I was drunk by that point). I won both hands, but I felt like this was about to happen: Confuseduicide:

And I hate going there with my friends. They all suck at teh gambling and end up losing all their money really fast and annoying the shit out of me the rest of the time.
i was there once. lost $40 on slots. i hate gambling.
I love gambling. I haven't been to AC in years. Maybe 7 or 8 years. If i could i would bet on anything. When i did go to AC i would play blackjack mostly the 5 dollar tables. And yes the majority of people at those tables dont know how too play. Maybe a little Roulette. 3 card poker always fun. And if the tables are slow then i'll play the mindless slots. Gezz now i wanna go down too AC.
i just wanted to thank Ken. i read this thread yesterday and realized i hadn't been to a casino in a few months. i called up my cousin and we took the ferry over to conn. last night, to visit foxwoods. at one point, i was down 500 dollars but at about 4 am my luck started to change and i went on a little run. i walked out of there with 5900 dollars. i have never won that much before. i am happy beyond belief. thank you Ken, without you this never would have happened. now, what do i do with all this cash?
what is a better way to say thank you,
than say,
$50 to your inspiration?
I just got home from AC, and I won $300. YAY! What a good birthday gift to myself.
:disappointed: I'm not going to AC....majority rules that AC = not that fun in the rain

Psst, Ken, I think you should split that $50 with me since I gave you the idea to go in the first place. :thumbs-up:
I only bet on basketball and boxing, never been to a casino or a/s or vegas. I don't find that kind of gambling entertaining. Atleast with sports I have some kind of chance or I enjoy the game more.
i went to ac once, lost about $100 that was good enough for me, although if i ever had the chance to go to vegas i wouldn't hesitate...
