Quote:I WORKED at a BK for 5 years... I know how loing they let those things SIT!!!
As did I (but not for 5 years!) Did your place have a "broiler/steamer"? They would let burgers sit in there for hours, and then serve them up.

I would link the old thread where I discussed it, but it no longer exists :-(
Read FAST FOOD NATION and you may never eat BK or Mickey D's again.
Thanks Gooch.....I just got sick at the thought of that book.
All I have to say is - it's amazing how much mayonaisse can really "cover up" on a burger.

I'll still eat Wendy's though, my niece works at the one near my apartment and she said it's clean.

Burger King's chilli is much better than Wendy's, much thicker.

That's a standard fixture at just about every BK.

Meat patties (burgers, chickens, fish) all have designated warmer-spaces (such as the steamer for burgers) where they're only suppossed to sit for 1/2 hour tops before being thrown out. Add to that that once an actuual SANDWICH is made, it's allowed to sit under the warmer light (where you always see the front crew pulling the food from) for 15 minutes, and by the time it gets to you it could LEGALLY be up to 45 minutes old..
and you start to wonder how old it could get when they don't care.. which is usually the case...
tastes good. i'm still alive. i dont care.

I beg to differ....
