Me too.

Queens sucks.

arpi lives there.
Queens rules. I live there. I mean here, I live here.
Quote:Who's proposing this to the government?
Due to the current government mandate that requires all government energies and funding to be funneled towards the war effort, all other requests for future mandates are to be placed on hold until further notice.

Was the guy that invented the word mandate gay?
Street names would be so much easier to see on some streets if they let the hookers hold the sign.
Believe it or not, there are streets in Brooklyn that are alphabetized and I don't mean the Avenues A-Z. Box Street, Conselyea Street. And then you got some of the avenues around Flatbush like Cortelyou and Dorchester. Hey I live in a neighborhood where all the streets are named after old dead people. Revere, La Salle. And I also got Watt, Ampere, Ohm, lots of fun shit like that. Ya see ya learn something new everyday.
Sleeper, never come to Staten Island... you'll be lost the minute you step off the ferry...
oh I know

yeah, but there's like four streets for every number: avenue, road, street, place... :crackhead:
I'd like it if there were signs to indicate N S E or W at intersections
New Jersey can lay claim to having the coolest street name in the world.
I mean.. seriously.. how can you top, or even forget, "Shades of Death" road????
The best part of Shades of Death road.....is that it's just as scary as the name!

and it runs right into Jenny Jump State Forest, and into Jackson Whites land!
I know where there is a "Wit's End"
I've been looking around there lately and I still haven't been able to find Ghost Lake
I know where there is a "Journey's End"
that is better than shades of death
Quote:I know where there is a "Journey's End"

hmm.. though about it...

nope, it's not.

Let's face it.. what other street ANYWHERE has only 1 standard roadside that is actually 15-20 feet high and the pole is constantly greased so as to PREVENT theft??
been to ghost lake. and it's pretty fuckin cool.

i'll try and remember how to get there so i can tell you.
sounds like the journeys end sign to me magus...well, not the 20 ft tall part, the pole stands 10ft high, and has an almost round the clock cop presence
wipperwill and idago lane are two streets we used to take people down to scare the shit out of them. idago is right near the marlboro psychiatric hospital and appears to descend below the ground as the sides of the road rise. the road is also only one lane, but not one way, so if someone comes from the other way, you have to back up all the way to let them through, and its quite a distance.

there are all sorts of stories about devil worshipers congregating there and the story of the girl who went there to make out with her boyfriend and when they went to leave the car wouldnt start so he leaves to go get gas and after an hour he doesnt return and she hears a tapping noise on the roof, a consistant drip. she gets out of the car to inspect it and finds her boyfriend hung by his feet from the tree above the car, his head chopped off and the blood from his neck dripping onto the roof below. of course, this story is a well known urban legend but at the time we were kids and thought it was native to idago.
We also have Blairsden. :-o

And the Gates of Hell.
