Ozzy at the Roseland in '95, he played over 2 hours and did every song I could have possibly wanted to hear, and I was 10 feet away from him the whole time.

NIN and Metallica at Mudstock '94, the best one-two punch I ever experienced.

RATM at the Roseland in '96, started with Killing in the Name of and it just kept getting better.

Pantera at the Roseland the week Far Beyond Driven debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts. The band was super-hyped and the whole damn floor was one big pit.

Nirvana at the New York Colliseum.

Pink Floyd at Giant's Stadium '94.

Tool at the Roseland '96.

Eddie Trunk's NY Steel benifit last November at the Hammerstein. Overkill, the dark horse on the bill, was f'n amazing, Anthrax did a great set in their first set since the anthrax scare, and seeing Twisted Sister live was an amazing trip.

Worst show: Green Day at the Roseland, the only show I ever walked out of.
I have been to about 30 concerts in the past 2 years.. there have been some really bad once and some really good ones..

the best ones..

1.fuel at a small club in allentown Pa
2.robby kreiger of the doors at the trump marina in atlantic city
3.finger eleven, drowning pool, boy hits car and stereomud at the birch hill
4.g-love and special sauce at some place in the city

the worst shows i have ever went to

fenix tx at the birch hill
goo goo dolls at the allentown fair grounds
blink 182 (but bad religon opened so that made it worth going)
ratt (just 2 days ago actually)
primus at roseland
nine inch nails at the caa
and all the lalapalooza's at waterloo village
Quote:primus at roseland

Which tour?
U2, saw em live not too long ago, but they are bar none the best band when performing live. They are just as good live as they are on the CD, you almost never see that these days except with those cheesy boy bands that lipsink their songs.
i just saw thursday last night. best show ever.

I saw them at some club out in the Pocono's... 2001, i think was the name of the place... FUEL actually opened for a cover band called "Strangers With Candy" (who won the MTV battle of the cover bands thing a couple years ago)...anyway, Fuel were friends with the guys in SWC, so they just used the night to try out some new material (stuff I assume is on their latest album) ...the funniest part is that they didn't call themselves Fuel, they used some fake name like the "Liver Spots" or something like that... it was a really great show cuz nobody really knew it was them & they played for like 60-80 people...

besides that incognito Fuel show... I've been to literally 1000's of shows over the past 20 years or so... some highlights are...

Tool - I believe it was at the first Lollapolooza (Waterloo Village, NJ) Show... they played on the side stage in the daytime, right after Jim Rose's Freak Show... talk about an appropriate lead-in...

Beastie Boys - at The Building in NYC (like 91-92 i think) It was the first time they played in NY after releasing Paul's Boutique and it was basically an industry show (hey, i used to have connections) with a crowd filled with celebrities... Ice T, Ice Cube, B-Real (from Cypress Hill), Anthrax, Reverend Run (RUN-DMC), Everlast, and a shitload more... plus, all the drinks were FREE!!!!... now that's a great show!!!

Public Enemy, Murphy's Law & Beastie Boys - At the (now demolished) Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ (1987) This was at the height of the B-Boys "Fight For Your Right" popularity... they actually fimed that show for a live video that night... so the B-Boys were extra insane... plus, having a militant Black band & a NY Punk band as your openers... quite the diverse crowd...

Johnny Cash - at Carnigie Hall ('93, i think) on His American Recordings tour... the first half of the show was just him & his guitar on stage... truly a moving experience... it's amazing how one man can convey so much emotion thru his music... he had his full band come out after a short intermission and played for like another hour or so with the band, running thru all of Johnny's hits from years gone by...

Tom Jones - at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas ( Oct. 2000) ...yeah, yeah... I know...you're thinking is he for real... well, yes, i am.... A-Tom-ic Jones still puts on one helluva show... I actually begged my mom to go with me to this show... we were in Vegas anyway & figured, hey... why not... I had always kinda liked Tom Jones for the goof factor, but after seeing him Live, I have a whole new respect for his performing... He did some of the best covers I ever heard... i mean, c'mon... nobody else can do a cover of Iggy Pop's "Lust For Life" and pull it off like Tom...

Dead Kennedy's - At The Show Place in Dover NJ (1984 or 85) the Show Place used to be a club/go-go bar that had punk bands playing there... it was great...at one end you had bone-crunching punk and/or metal bands playing live, and at the other end of the bar was half naked chicks trying to dance to it... The Show Place is still there, but has since turned into a recording Studio (where many famous people have recorded, like Clapton, Keith Richards, Rollins, Days of the New, etc...) ... well, half of it is... the other half is still a go-go bar... anywho... back to the DK's show... well, simply said... it rocked... Jello Biafra was always one of the best live performers...

Marilyn Manson - at the Hammerstine Ballroom (1998 or 99) ...I swear, anyone who likes MM should have seen this show... completely amazing stage show... and the high ceilings of the Hammerstien just added to the theatrics... when Manson came out wearing the 20 foot tall stilts, it was truly eerie... he definately had the crowd eating out of his hands... although, and i think my favorite part was the giant flashing "DRUGS" sign.... go figure :fuggin:

ok...that's enough for now... i'm sure i'll come up with a few more...

When I saw them everyone in the place had a geat time except for Kurt Cobain, who spent the whole show in a corner of the stage looking at his sneakers. I found out later he had OD'd in his hotel room that morning.
