Smackdown:

The show started with a recap of last week's happenings. Stephanie McMahon then came down and announced that it wasn't Angle's decision as to who the #1 contender would be. And announced that there would be a #1 Contender's match tonight between The Big Show & Chris Benoit. Steph also mentions that Angle was seriously injured after Smackdown went off the air last week and that he wouldn't be able to compete tonight. She said she'd air the "never before seen" footage of Angle getting manhandled by Lesnar.

This Brings out The Big Show, who says that Benoit isn't in the same league as Show is. And tries to get out of the match by "scaring" Steph. Steph then says that she's th egeneral manager and she makes the decisions, and she can also suspend anyone she wants too. This makes The Big Show back off.

Benoit then comes out to address Show's comments he made about him. Benoit says he can beat Show anytime. Show replies by saying that the only way Benoit can beat him, is if he brings him down to Benoit's size. Benoit then kicks Show between the legs and does bring him down to his size.

During the commercial break, Bill DeMott comes on the Titantron and gets heat from the Tulsa Crowd by wishing them Happy Holidays.

Bill DeMott vs. Crash Holly.

Dawn Marie is shown backstage giving Al Wilson a Christmas present. Mr. Wilson then gives Dawn Marie a present as well, one he says they can both use: VIAGRA. The present that Dawn Marie gave, was a camcorder. She says now they can make movies of all their adventures. We're then shown an Invitation to the wedding on the Titantron.

Tag-Team Championship Match:
Los Guerrerros vs. Billy Kidman & Edge
A great match. First, Los Guerrerros tried to leave the ring and completely leave the arena, but the ref ordered them back into the ring, and if they didn't, not only would they lose by count out, but they'd lose the Championships. Then, they tried to purposely get a DQ, but the ref then ruled that since Los Guerrerros was intentionally trying to get disqualified, the match was now a No DQ match. The match ended with A-Train running in and costing Kidman & Edge the match.

Heyman is shown helping Angle, on crutches, backstage toward the arena.

The "never before seen" footage is shown of Lesnar destroying the Big Show and Angle last week.

Heyman makes his way to the ring, and presents Angle. He requests that since Angle isn't feeling well, for the fans not to make any of the "You Suck" chants. Angle went on to make a long promo about Lesnar and Big Show being jealous of him and the segment ended with Heyman presenting Angle with "Team Angle."

Team Angle is Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin. They exit with Heyman saying that he'll always have a contingency plan.

Matt Hardy and Shannon Moore come to the ring. Hardy says that he's at Smackdown and is hurting. And the cause of it is Brock Lesnar. Footage is shown of Moore being enjoyed by Lesnar. Hardy says he's going to stop it. Matt Hardy then challenges Lesnar to a match next week on Smackdown. Hardy then attacks Moore.

Heyman is backstage with The Big Show, working things out between Show, Angle, and himself.

Next, B2 vs. Rikishi.
Huge pops for Rikishi. Cena tried to interfere, but it backfired. After the match, Cena & B2 both received the Stink-face. Rikishi then danced to huge pops.
Winner: Rikishi

Backstage Funaki interviews Torrie Wilson. He asks her is she's going to be at the wedding of her Father and Dawn Marie. The interview is interrupted by Al Wilson, who says he's tired of it being all about Torrie. Al asks why she never cares about what Al wants. He says he will marry Dawn Marie.

Also, Los Guerrerros runs into Cena & B2. They taunt them about being Rappers....

Main Event:
Big Show vs. Benoit
Benoit wins the match and is destroyed afterward by Team Angle, Kurt Angle on Crutches, and the Big Show.

Before Benoit exits, he comes back to ring to say that he told The Big Show he could beat his fat @$$ anytime, and all the fans here believed it. He goes on to say he'll win at the Royal Rumble against Angle.
doesn't this defeat the purpose of watching the show?
