- The medical evaluation on Scott Steiner came back this past week and there were reportedly a lot of issues with the report, primarily the fact that he has drop foot syndrome which is basically severe nerve damage that causes one of his feet to flop around unless bandaged up. The final decision as it pertains to the WWF attempting to sign him, is not expected to be made at least for another couple of weeks.

- In a interesting note from Monday night's RAW, Steve Austin's left knee was bandaged, even though the nWo smashed the "cinder block" on his right knee last week.

- Apparently, Vince McMahon and Steve Austin had a disagreement, about an angle, backstage at RAW on Monday night. After a long argument, which many people backstage witnessed, Austin got his way. What they were arguing about is unknown.

- Dave Scherer of 1Wrestling.com is reporting that the WWF have been in contact with Shawn Michaels over the past week, although the report is just a rumor right now. Some are saying that Michaels will make his WWF return tonight at the live Smackdown broadcast, from his home town of San Antonio, Texas. It is also being rumored that he has been offered the deal Bret Hart turned down: being the special referee of the Hulk Hogan vs. Rock match at WrestleMania. There is a strong possibility that these rumors are true, taking into consideration the fact that the WWF crew has been in Texas since Monday.

- Shawn Michaels was backstage at Smackdown Thursday, as expected. He was there with his wife and child, talking with everyone backstage. Although there have been rumors that he will return at WrestleMania, nothing has been finalised yet.

- The final Smackdown cable rating is in, and it's not good news for the WWF. After a strong overnight rating of 5.6, the final rating plummeted to 3.4, with a 5 share. This is a terrible rating for the WWF, with just over a week left to WrestleMania.

- The WWF had originally planned to have Limp Bizkit perform the Undertaker's entrance at Wrestlemania, however due to one of their guitarists leaving, the plan was changed and negotiations started with Drowning Pool.
