That sure is a lot of vinyl.

We could melt it all down, make kinky clothing and have a sexy party!
but what would we listen to at the party?
Who is going to care about music with all the sexiness going on?
I've got Michael Jackson : Thriller on vinyl somewhere - I was keeping it in case it was worth money, but I don't think it ever will be. Interested?
Seriously. Why the fuck would anyone want vinyl? It's bulky, it pops, it wobbles, it doesn't sound nearly as good, yet all "true" music fans are all in love with vinyl. WTF? Wouldn't a "true" fan of the art want it to sound good and authentic? Noooooooooo, they want it to sound as crappy and old as possible.

How come "true" cinema fans want all hi-tech sound and video systems for their home, and not just an 8MM handheld to watch it, which is the technological equivalent of a fucking turntable.

1) it's more fun to collect
2) some types of music sound better on vinyl to me (hardcore/punk)
3) bigger layouts
4) cheaper
5) some releases only come out on vinyl (mainly 7"s and splits)

I'll make another coaster for you
I do agree with sleeper tho, collecting Vinyl can be fun. I used to but not as much anymore. Some music honestly does sound better on vinyl, some music needs that raw sound. Plus for display purposes it's much nicer than a little cd, especially for classic albums.
Vinyl has a fuller sound that I like, and the popping even adds to it sometimes. As far as if you wanna go into specifics about analog and digital sounds, vinyl in the 60s and 70s was mastered to be put on vinyl and then when it was transferred to cd, some of the highs and lows on the mastering was lost,so if you listen to vinyl made in the 60s and 70s, it will sound better than the same album on cd. Today, albums are mastered for cd and then transferred to vinyl, so cds would techincally sound better, but sounding "better" is still subjective and like I said, I enjoy the full sound records have as well as all the other stuff that comes with collecting them.
You'll never be John Cusak.
