Quote:actually no... the super soaker was even more reaching.
Ya, seriously, I mean, why even try to improve upon an open fire hydrant and a cup?
Leonardo Di Vinci did, he just never got one working.
we all know that Dr. Emmett Brown invented the time machine, even though H.G. Wells thought of it. thinking of something doesnt mean you invened it
You made a list of the pinacle of black inventions and included the super soaker and you weren't reaching?
Not like there wasnt other stuff to choose from.
Black inventions also include:
The Almanac, Electric Lampbulb, Elevator, Gas Mask, Guitar, Horse Shoe, Lantern, Lawn Mower, The Lock, Mail Box, The Motor, Peanut Butter, The Spark Plug, The Stethoscope, The Stove, Thermostat, Traffic Light, and Typewriter.
Just to name a few.
As far as Da Vinci, he envisioned many inventions several centuries before they were invented. He just did not have the technology available to him at the time.
So you're saying that Dave Chappelle invented this bit, even though Charlie Murphy thought of it?
charlie murphy isnt a real person
Quote:The Almanac
That's an invention? So, a black person was the first dude to put every single fact he could think of in a book?

Quote:Eddie Murphy was born in Brooklyn New York in 1961, the youngest son of Lillian Murphy, a widow who married Vernon Lynch, the step father of Eddie, his brother Charlie, and Vernon Jr. Eddie himself had aspirations of being in show business since he was a child.

The almanac was not an invention in the mechanical sense but it was a greater contribution to society than the super soaker.
i must have missed that when i was looking to see if it was real last week. youve enlightened me. thank you
Yeah seriously dude, Eddie mentioned his brothers charlie and vernon like several times during his "Raw" stand up performance.
How did you miss that? You look up Eddie Murphy, and see if he has any brothers.
i did a quick search where i looked for it in blue. usually it has them as links to the siblings imdb pages, but not this time. my bad

neak:
Yeah, but, to invent something, doesn't that usually mean they did it first?
