Good thing Pat Tillman died for our freedoms!
ABC was the first to show bare ass on network television.
bay city blues?
hmmmmmm,
doesn't Disney own WABC Radio?
all radical conservative
all the time!
Disney was also one of the first companies to extend health benefits to gay couples, and also have "gay day" at the magic kingdom -- those Nazi right wing extremists!
Yes, and Bush has an environmentally friendly house (ranch) in crawford texas.
while he guts the regulations and policies of our nation.

sometimes it's less important what you do in your back yard,
then what you stand for in general.

You must weigh the reality of them paying for same sex benefits for X number of employees, against paying to have a radio station that reaches millions staffed with people ranting against homosexuals and lobbying for the Defensive Marriage Act and other policies.
Ken, understand the basic concept.

They are a business. They are trying to make money. The reason there are so many conservative shows out there is because people want to listen to them. The people like Limbaugh that have those shows on ABC and other stations, weren't just handed the jobs. They were awarded the jobs because those people have worked for years and years in the industry and have built up a listener base (unlike the Air America folks who just want to start on the top) which makes it economically profitable for Disney to put them on the air.

People aren't mindless robots that will listen to whatever is on the air, they listen to what they like, compelling shows and hosts succeed. Boring shows and hosts do not.

When there is money to be made with left leaning talk radio or talk TV, Disney would be foolish and shitbeat by their shareholders to ignore it.

i disagree. people are simpletons and will believe what you tell them. this administration is perfect proof.
so the fact that clear channel is an actively Republican supporting company may not effect their hiring practices?

With deregulation competition is not the issue it once was.
Ted Rall's comic about Pat Tillman being a sap was not published by MSNBC due to poor taste. Yet this comic was published in the Chicago-sun Times today:

THAT is disgusting,
and yet it seems to be the official Republican spin.

I like to hold my country up to a higher level....
I thought that was what we were there to do.

Free people, not put them under the controll of a marginally less abusive regime.
Apparently it's NOT ok to question whether someone who died in the war is a hero, yet it's ok to imply that torturing iraqi's is justified because apperently they were behind 9/11 or at least people of the same color as them were.

O AND A RULE, DUDE!!!!
I am always right.
In what way were you right?

But they arent even the same organization. One's MSNBC, the other is the Chicago Sun Times. It's not like they are contradicting themselves or being hypocritical.
That I wouldn't trust a word that Moore or his agent says. He's been known to lie, and he did it here.

I also mentioned that I found it weird that no one in the article questioned why all of a sudden Disney said they wouldn't distribute it. Now we know what the catalyst was. There wasn't one.
Quote:"We advised both the agent and Miramax in May of 2003 that the film would not be distributed by Miramax," said Zenia Mucha, a company spokeswoman, referring to Mr. Moore's agent. "That decision stands."

From the article Gooch posted towards the beginning of the thread, which basically started this whole mess. This is nothing new, nobody said Disney made a sudden decision not to air the film. Where did anyone lie?

thats exactly what moore was accusing them of
