i'm an intern for management, so if the union strikes i'll be reassigned and working 12 hour days 7 days a week, crossing picket lines, starting tomorrow morning at 7

should be a hoot
better wear your football gear and be ready to duck cinder blocks
You should protest the protesters on your way in.
All for nothing or is it a paid internship? Maybe if you do well under the pressure they'll hire you. Just hope the Union people don't have long memory's.
it's paid. i sort of don't mind it because of all the overtime, and in a way welcome it, but i just hope it doesn't go for more than 2 weeks. con ed hasn't been on strike since 1983, but both times they've been on strke has been for a couple of weeks. if that happens i think i'll go nuts
another intern i know was told to pack enough clothes for a week in case they got locked in

shit
such bullshit
staten island won't be affected, they're a different union and have a contract
just because a worksite isnt using union employees, the contractors put up those inflatable rats in front of those job sites on the island. why does everyone have to be in the union, and why do they have to treat everyone whos not in like fucking monsters?
i don't get why news articles are saying it will affect all 5 boroughs, maybe its just the union saying that

whenever the union handed out flyers they were funny to read. i'm not the best writer, but if i notice that they're poorly written, there's something wrong there. it was also weak propaganda
There's a lump on the field in giants stadium from jimmy hoffa rolling over in his grave.

next time you and joobies have sex you can discuss the layouts of their flyers and mock them.
yea, they definitly could have used some help with their layout
apparently they reached enough of an agreement on things to stop the clock on a strike or something, but are still negotiating

lame

We do that to places that have signed an agreement to use union labor exclusively and are either not doing so, or are not living up to their end of the signed agreement, such as not paying medical benefits.
You only see the rat when someone decided they dont have to live up to their legal obligations.
We'll, usually. I guess it could be used to pressure businesses into signing a collective bargaining agreement with a union, but i dont care, as long as i get paid.
i am very upset that you are interning for management at con ed. one of my friends is a manager. & the job has taken over his life & his mind. now whenever he's hanging out with people he acts & talks like he's schmoozing at work. he's always "networking"

save yourself.

please.
he's one of those?

some of the people they get are real weird
bump
so, did you and joobies ever mock those flyers?
no we did not.
