did you have the PSP hooked up to your PC and in USB connect mode when you ran the install?
yes

- LZMF1 - 03-29-2005

then i really don't know what to tell you.

the game lumines is seriously addicting......i have unlocked 9 skins and have completed 8 of the puzzles but the one that i'm currently on is a major pain in the balls!

- Sir O - 03-29-2005

Lumines is SO fucking good. My high score so far is 67,399...man, this game gets AMAZINGLY hectic when you're close to losing. Between this and God of War for PS2, I'm in gaming heaven...

- Keyser Soze - 03-29-2005

lumines is the highest rated PSP game on IGN, i hear its like tetris but with better graphics.

- LZMF1 - 03-29-2005

sir o....try the puzzle mode

- LZMF1 - 03-31-2005

ok so i read up on browsing the internet with wipeout pure and curiosity got the best of me. i ran out and bought it set up a new connection and holy fuck! it works! i was gonna post on here using the PSP but decided against it.

- Keyser Soze - 03-31-2005

post it here

- LZMF1 - 03-31-2005

Quote:1. Go to Network Settings > Infrastructure mode in your PSP. Create a new setting (recommended) or edit an existing one.
2. Choose a connection name (maybe something like 'portal' or 'hack' so you know it's not a normal connection).
3. Enter SSID and Encryption options for your wireless access point (AP). If you don't know these, I can't help you.
4. For address settings, go down and choose 'custom'.
5. For IP address settings, choose 'automatic' (or choose another option, if you know that your AP requres it).
6. For DNS setting, choose manual.
7. For primary DNS, key this in (actually scroll it in, v. annoying): 67.171.70.72
8. I left secondary DNS as 0.0.0.0, so if this dude's DNS server goes down you'll know the hack isn't going to work.
9. Proxy server: Do not use
10. Confirm & save.

ALL SET??? Now...

11. Boot Wipeout Pure. (Wait... wait... wait... click through stuff...) Get to the main menu, go down to Download.
12. OK to ESRB notice. Choose the hacked connection you just set up.
13. You're there! If you can't figure out what to do from here on you're absolutely hopeless.

GOT IT NOW?

Well, okay, some hints on the buttons.
X: Follow link / input text box
[ ]: refresh
d+pad: scroll / select link/object
L and R (shoulder buttons): back and forward, respectively
Start: Brings up a menu to go back to home page or exit browser.

Remember to only use your hacked connection with the Wipeout Download utility, or your PSP won't know what the heck is going on.
here ya go.....enjoy

- QuickStop - 04-01-2005

yeah i did this before...it is fun

- Keyser Soze - 04-01-2005

nice, thanks LZ

- LZMF1 - 04-01-2005

208.42.28.174

different DNS....i think the other one is down

- Keyser Soze - 04-01-2005

is there a way for psp to look for wifi signals nearby or do you have to know the SSID everytime you want to connect?

btw, check this out, Linux for PSP coming soon.....http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000847038270

- Kid Afrika - 04-02-2005

Try using "ANY" (without quote, obviously) as the SSID.

- LZMF1 - 04-03-2005

the PSP will scan for any networks available

- HedCold - 04-03-2005

try "lynksis"
that wireless internet company seems to be every where

- QuickStop - 04-03-2005

everytime i go to a new place, i just change my network settings and let the PSP find whatever network is in range. The "scan" feature sets it all up. then i go in game and do what i do.

keyser if pspvideo9 still isn't working for you try this one out. click the link above^^^^

the website is spanish and by default the program is in spanish but you can change it to english. i saw that someone on ebay is selling it for 4.99 (i wonder how many fools paid for it when they can D/L it for free) and curiosity got the best of me. it works well.

So much for my plan to sell it on Ebay for more than I paid for it. I'm still not going to open it just yet, but I really thought it would have sold out by now.
