Todd Rosemark owns a motorcycle. It's a yellow Duc

- LZMF1 - 06-03-2002

ducatis are soupa doupa fine!!

- Tenbatsuzen - 06-03-2002

I'm dangerous enough behind the wheel of my truck, me on a motorcycle is ridiculous.

- Paper Boy - 06-03-2002

This is a Ducati Monster. I think this would make the perfect beginners bike, nice upright seating position, not too powerful and it's beautiful.

- Hey Ladi - 06-03-2002

Yes, it is...; but can we get a price on this puppy?

- LZMF1 - 06-03-2002

ladi, try clicking on the pic of the bike.

- Paper Boy - 06-03-2002

it's not that expensive for a ducati. i want to say somewhere between 6 and 7 thousand can't be much more than that.

- Hey Ladi - 06-03-2002

I did, but it didn't say...... and I'm being too lazy to bother to search for the price otherwise. :thumbs-up:

that sounds about right

The Monster 620i.e. msrp is $6995. They have a review of it in the june issue of Cycle World. The one in the picture is the Monster 620 i.e. Dark and the msrp there is $6495. I believe the only difference between the two is in the suspension.

Do they review anything else?
Know of any magazines that do, do a big review issue? As in, all the brands.

- Paper Boy - 06-03-2002

yes they do all types of bikes. they even have a message board. you can browse around there, it'll probably give you a better idea of what to look for. you should just go down to a large dealership and sit on some of the bikes, see what you like the looks and feel of.

i think someone else suggested it but you should take the MSF course. they teach you all about riding and give you your road test at the end.

Quote:Do you have to bring you own bike to the class? Where do I find a class? How hard is the MV test?
I went to a guy name T-Bird in Eatontown, NJ to take my test. He has the course set up behind his shop, and a scooter to practice and take your test on. It was like $40, and I got 100% on my test.

I would think that most classes would provide the bike, as sluggo said.

ive always wanted one but i dunno if id actually go out and buy one
but i can use it to go VRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOM

- PollyannaFlower46 - 06-03-2002

If you buy a motorcycle, PLEASE be extra careful when you're on the highways. My friend's mother was killed in October on the Belt Parkway when a driver who was speeding ran her into the guardrail. She was wearing a helmet and was always careful, but there's only so much protection a helmet can give someone. Have fun, and be careful...

- Sluggo - 06-04-2002

Ladi...Don't even think of a Monster for a beginner bike...
As Ducati's go, sure it's not that powerfull...
But trust me...
YOU don't wanna learn to ride on that...
**If you do get a bike, NO WEED OR BOOZE if you plan on riding...You know how you get.**

- Hey Ladi - 06-04-2002
