Call the phone company. Most will setup a payment plan with you if you can't pay it all now. Just don't run up another bill like that next month. It might be wise to invest in some 1 or 2 cent phone cards.

Actually, if you are half as good looking as most of us think you are, why don't you go be a shot girl at a club for a couple nights? You could make a pretty big dent in that $1k fairly easily.

Jack is correct, you can set up a payment plan with them. Give them the 300 you do have as a down payment and then pay them off a 100 a month or something, that will buy you some time to find a way to make money.

Sell your text books on Half.com....only problem is, they could sit there for ages. I'm in a bind myself now, and that's what I've been doing...I sold $114 worth of books last week, but the money still isn't here. Whatever you do DO NOT take out one of those "pay day" loans....they'll loan you $500 and you'll pay them back about $1500.

Selling stuff on ebay is good for a few quick bucks.
I'm sure you can pay your phone bill in the way you pay a credit card off...pay a minimum balance of whatever you have and then pay the rest later at some interest.
I'd be really interested to know how you can accumulate a thousand dollar phone bill...i talked like a bastard on my cell phone one month and it was $150, and i freaked.

Come up with a really good idea that will revolutionize business to business commerce. Get some Venture Capitalist funding, and have your newly formed corporation pay your bills using VC funds
Either that or cure some disease like Cancer or AIDS.
