DVD's, Books and Gift Certificates never fail.
As far as kids movies from what I noticed Lilo & Stich, Ice age and Monsters inc are the most popular kids movies.
If you really like someone the band of brothers dvd set is a great gift, It's about 70 bucks though.

And yes, if you're that hard-pressed for gift ideas, the best route is gift certificates. Otherwise, you put too much thought ino the gifts and end up getting people shit they don't want - better to be impersonal and let them get what they want than to be the guy that gets the gifts that noone wants.

Well I know where most of my friends shop so i get specific store ones, otherwise the mall ha a general one for any store. Most of my gifts are actual gifts though cause I am good with picking things out for people I know.
