yup...my division outsourced Production. And, they are merely cutting off that limb and not addressing the disease of Sales division which is in shambles. Company itself wants to keep me...but want and doing are two different things. So, I sit in limbo, hopeing opportunity to remain comes up. Then once Sept starts...I am cut loose.

Not to start a pity-party, but don't you find it amazing that companies love to get rid of the technical people who actually DO something , instead of addressing bigger problems like "the product we make sucks".
Hopefully things will work out for you, I was able to get a job in a different division of the same company after the massive shit-canning.

yup...i noticed that as well. Glad things worked out for you. I need to see what develops here. There is a chance I could be retained, but I may have to do freelance or collect unemployment in interim b/c those positions won't be till new fiscal in October.
Anyone familiar on how to incoporate one's self so as to be a freelancer???
