* and $6.95 for insurance

- Keyser Soze - 11-13-2003

well, of course. do i look like im running a charity over here?

- GonzoStyle - 11-13-2003

Everyone else does it on ebay, why not?

Whenever something seems waaaaay to cheap, check the shipping charges. Most times people bid first then see the shipping and say no fuckin way but they already bid.

That happened to me with a poster, I ordered the casablanca 50th anniversary poster, it was only 99 cents. The shipping & handling was 10 bucks.

- Keyser Soze - 11-13-2003

who the fuck do you people think you are? you're basically asking the guy to pay for you to own the poster.

- GonzoStyle - 11-13-2003

I hope that was your devils advocate persona talking

we need to have a convo about your taste in movies

- GonzoStyle - 11-14-2003

Casablanca wasn't voted by the AFI as the 2nd greatest film ever made or anything.

Act like you know.

- Galt - 11-14-2003

movie release < 3/11/72 = shitty movie.

Cause you are an uncultured oaf.

- Galt - 11-14-2003

every movie before then sucked.

The writing sucked. The acting was overplayed so retardedly unrealistic

"Yeah-see, you're a dirty rat, that's right, a rat! I'm going to take that dame over there, see, and blah blah blah, see."

And how every sexual encounter was essentially a rape as the guy overpowered the woman because in reality that's how all women want sex.

And if it's not some over-the-top gangster or love affair, it's a musical where groups of people just break out into chorus in their daily lives.

They are just so cheeseball.

I will grant you that yes some of them were like that but that is no different from the formulatic love flicks being churned out today.

guy meets girl, they find out they have so much in common, proceed with 30 minutes of the amazing love life between them. Then something happens where one finds out the other did something that is either a misunderstanding or not their fault.... cue break up. Then they realize they were wrong and come back and they fall back in love after some cheezy argument.

Or the mindless action flicks which are all one in the same.

And talk about bad acting and over acting, hahaha hollywoods flooded with them.

You have taken a stereotype and applied it to all. Maybe you don't like black and white movies, or old films, but you can't put them all into one category.

as for your opinion on sexual depictions in film being mostly rapes, I have no clue where you got that from.

- Galt - 11-14-2003

the uber masculine guy grabbing and kissing the woman as she yelled at him to get away that he was a jerk and she hated him. She tries to hit him but he grabs her arm. She tries to hit him again with her other arm, and he grabs that. Now, wouldn't you know it, they are hugging. She is overtaken by his machismo and falls to jelly in his arms as they kiss passionately

:camera pulls back
:cue music
:run credits

- GonzoStyle - 11-14-2003

Once again a small part of films which could mostly be equated to todays b films which are nothing but skin flicks.

You gotta remember studios back then were producing a picture every week so yeah most werent great but many are gems.

You can not tell me you can't watch casablanca and not consider it anything but amazing, the writing, the acting, the cinematography, the camera work, all amazing.

- Galt - 11-14-2003

that movie is unwatchable.

I would put money down for Rocky VI before that.

- IrishAlkey - 11-14-2003

People must trip over your brow as you pass them by in the streets.
