It's funny how the picture came about, but I don't think that there is much congruence to it. First of all, Dale Earnhardt dying in a race is not anywhere near as bad as 3000 people being killed by terrorists on 9/11. The astronauts don't fit in either. These people took pre-determined risks. The people of 9/11 went to work. You're not supposed to die in your office because a 757 piloted by a fanatical muslim crashed into your desk as you were eating your bagel and having your morning coffee.
And, why is it so frowned upon to burn a flag, but draping your pet in a flag is acceptible?

That's not a border collie. I have a border collie. They're black with some white around the neck and head. The dog in the pic is just a regular collie.

That picture isn't offensive, it's just plain weird. What's offensive is Kelly Osbourne getting recording contract and Kelly Clarkson being treated like she has fucking talent.
