That is not true at all.

Sure, you are a newbie, but you don't just get all the gear and pretend like you've been doing something forever... that's being a poseur.

In anything you do, you have to put your own spin on it and do it because you like it, not because everyone else is doing it. This will relieve you of any poseur label.

- Arpikarhu - 06-23-2004

for a poseur example, see zootybang and his flying V.

- Kid Afrika - 06-23-2004

Maybe he's less of a poseur because he actually likes the flying V guitar and won't be persuaded otherwise by haters like you.

- Arpikarhu - 06-23-2004

anyone with a flying V is a poseur. end of story.

- Kid Afrika - 06-23-2004

Anyone that works in theatre is gay or female and gay. End of story.

- Keyser Soze - 06-23-2004

one thing i do feel i need to get is a heavy jacket. there is nothing lamer than watching people on motorcycles wearing a tshirt that the wind blows up exposing their entire naked back.

- Kid Afrika - 06-23-2004

A t-shirt doesn't do fuck all to protect you in the even of a get off either.

If you buy a set of chaps, I'm gonna find you and kill you.

- Keyser Soze - 06-23-2004

nope, just a heavy jacket.

- Kid Afrika - 06-23-2004

Get a jacket that's made for motorcycles. They have padding in strategic places and will ultimately be more comfortable to ride in.

Oh yeah, and don't get a motorcycle. Too many people die every season in NJ. Hell, my friend has a business doing mostly repairs on wrecked bikes and he's making a killing.

- Keyser Soze - 06-23-2004

i'll take my chances

1.i didnt go out of my way to meet joey fatone. he showed up at my job. your point is irrelevant.

2. dont be ashamed of the flying V. you bought it so you should be proud of it. so go ahead, grab the flying V, stand on the lawn holding it up high and yell," I AM A GUITAR POSEUR WITH A FLYING V AND I AM PROUD OF IT!"

- Zootybang - 06-23-2004

you may not have gone out of your way to meet him, but you did go out of your way to post about it, so you must be pretty proud of it, you pussy.

And if i did have a flying v, i'd play it, and love playing it, and it would still get me laid after shows, while you're busy applying powder to joey fatones nose before the curtain goes up.
