The conversation with gene hackman?

- Keyser Soze - 12-27-2003

yes, not obscure to most buffs, but to most pedestrian movie viewers.

- GonzoStyle - 12-27-2003

True, it was directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1973 which is between the years of the first 2 Godfather films so it got lost in the shuffle. Though it was nominated for a good share of Oscars and Hackman was robbed. It also stars Fredo so that's always a good thing.

But yes overall it's an awesome film that is very under appreciated.

Actually come to think of it some films that people may consider "known" are really not to the overall masses.

One that comes to mind is one of the finest mob films ever made, "Miller's Crossing" by the coen brothers. It's their best film in my opinion, the dialouge is so crisp and amazing, the acting is top notch. Especially Gabriel Byrne and Albert Finney, plus steve buscemi and john turrturo are in the film.

I still rent that time to time

Ronald Reagan said " That movie may be fiction but the same thing is happening every day in Afganistan, It is our duty to help "

So we dumped 3 billion dollars worth of weapons there. Good thing it didn't come back to bite us in the ass.

Brokedown Palace was OK in a cheezy kind of way.

Anyone who has not seen State Of Grace should be shot.

Broken Vessels

I saw Liev Schriber at Next Door Nobu this weekend and reminded me of two good obscure films, The Daytrippers, which he was in with Parker Posey and Party Girl, with Parker.

charlize theron, joquain pheonix, mark wahlberg, james caan, faye dunaway, ellen burstyn, and my buddy joe dimare.

how this film never went wide is beyond me.
