Why do I have to justify my feelings to you? Or to anyone else on this board? I don't. The fact that you would even suggest that I should explain why I like certain things and not other things is just absurd. Maybe you need to explain yourself to everyone to make things right in your life, but I don't.

If you don't like a thread, DON'T REPLY. If you like something, then reply. It's as simple as that. But to go to threads and just defile it because you don't like it is just being an asshole. (I'm not directing this comment AT you Keyser, but you certainly are guilty of it sometimes)

I'd like to add this thread to my list of what makes a good thread, in my opinion of course!

Opposing views with good points to back them up. Thats my idea of a good thread.

Maynard, you don't have to explain, but that doesn't mean i'm interested in what your explanation is. I was intrigued with the reason why people enjoy gimmick threads, so I used my post as a catalyst to elicit strong emotions from both you and Luna. It worked, and the thread was more the better because of it. I love it when people have strong opinions in threads, yours is the best one yet.

Should I add your comments to the FAQ section?Wink

I don't defile threads I don't like, I simply poke fun at them and usually its only once or twice, I never defile it to the point where everyone elses enjoyment is ruined. There are some threads that are just retarded and were created with the intention of being defiled, those actually turn out to be pretty funny.

Like you said, people shouldn't take things too seriously. I think Ladi said it best before. People come here to get away from things. Job, home, whatever. They want to have fun. Some people like to argue, some like to chat with friends, some like to play games. To each his own.

And dat's why I love the Maymay. Wink :loveya:

Yes, but it is a shame when some people lose sight of that. I've seen it happen quite a few times. People get blinded by their opinion and try to change the mind of someone else. But they forget that their own mind couldn't be changed. Those are the threads I can't stand, the same argument going around. People get too caught up.

Of course. Humans are strongwilled. They get their mind set on something and it's tough to change them sometimes.

Take a look at K1d for instance. I like him becaues he usually brings an intelligent point to a conversation. But don't ever disagree with him because he will fight to the death to prove himself right. Something people need to realize is that they may be right, but the other person may be right as well. People need to agree to disagree sometimes.

What's that saying/quote?....... I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. :thumbs-up:

- Keyser Soze - 03-28-2002

I think the best threads are where neither person is willing to back down. I always have that quote in mind "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." but if you stop arguing with me, you are denying me the satisfaction of allowing you that right. Some call it arguing, i call it debate and interesting discussion.

When is enough enough? When does it cease to be Debate and become Mexican Stand-off? Sounds like you say 'Never, vie la Arguement!' :clueless:

I didn't forget about you.

I :loveya: the Luna too. Smile

Yeah keyser, and that is your "place" in the board. But, you have to realize that not everyone is like you. Not everyone likes to argue everything. You have to step back and realize that you shouldn't push everyone into an argument.
