The team was doing well until Jamal Crawford, Stephon Marbury, and David Lee were all injured. Before he went out, Stephon was carrying the team on his back for points. They still had high rebounding production, but their defense of the ball was subpar, their turnover rate did not improve much, and they have a couple of players getting large chunks of minutes who are there just to make the defense not suck at key points in the game. Losing Lee ( and also not starting him) and then losing their key shooter ended this season's hopes.
