I'd heard the name, but he was before my time basically.
Here's a clip from the 80s on Crossfire. He's just destroyed everyone on the show.
He was so calm and the other "moderate" was screaming at him. Zappa was calm, collected, and completely rational during the whole show.
I'd heard of the guy, but never really seen myself.

one of my teachers last semester was obsessed with zappa and somehow found a way to fit him into almost every class. and from that exposure, i dislike zappa's music even more than i used to

i never listened to his songs. i know he was running or planning to run for office when he got diagnozed with cancer. it's a shame, but we still have dweezil and ahmet.

I'm gonna get killed for this but, Frank Zappa. Yes the guy is brilliant and I actually think his views on music and politics are right on but I think his music is horrible. Again, a great mind and a talented musician but I just can't get into his stuff
