Saw it tonight at the Sony Imax theater...

It was everything I ever wanted of a superhero movie..some reality, lots of grittiness, great acting, a good script, interesting dialogue, and great casting. The film is absolutely fantastic. It renders all other Batman movies as silly little farces. Christian Bale is great. Michael Caine as Alfred, is also great. Cillian Murphy (from 28 Days Later) is uber creepy as the Scarecrow/Dr. Cane. Gary Oldman finally isn't your steroetypical bad guy but a real person struggling in a corrupt city, as Gordon (the future commisioner). Liam Neeson, who I don't think much of as an actor, and who made himself look like an idiot in the Phantom Menace is very good here as the man who really trains Bruce Wayne. The film is beautiful, dark, gritty and brooding in atmosphere. It, to me, is a 4 star flick.

Liam Neeson not much of an actor? Please.

- Gooch - 06-16-2005

I don't think he's that great. He was very good in Kinsey..and in Schinlders List. Rest of his stuff is pretty dismissable. Rob Roy...nothing special. In fact, most of his work is just that: noithng special. All his roles should go to Gabriel Byrne.

Liam Neeson not great?

How about when he played Briar Gates in Next of Kin?

You don't know great acting until you see that!

- Goatweed - 06-16-2005

I meant a link to this Batman movie.

- Buttmunch - 06-16-2005

Darkman: "Take the fucking elephant!"

- Gooch - 06-16-2005

He's actually playing Abe Lincoln in an unnamed Speilburg project. I can't wait for the ending.

The movie was pretty good, the only thing that was kinda disappointing was that he had to do a "batman voice".

Liam Neeson reportedly hates everything hes in and refuses to watch them upon completion.

He must not think he's a very good actor either.
