I love that all books are from 1923 on and in the English language. Cause, you know, nothing is revelant before then.

I didn't think books were entertaining, so I put here.

amazing, must have been written by someone who shares Galts opinion that movies pre-1972 are all unimportant and should be destroyed. Fuckin native son, I hate that book so much. No fuckin clancy novels?

I read 27 out of the 100.

- TheGMANN - 10-19-2005

5-100

Watchmen was a comic. That counts ?

- Gooch - 10-19-2005

their list sucks.

interesting:
Watchmen
Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons

thats a graphic novel

- GonzoStyle - 10-19-2005

out of the 27 I can only say maybe 8 were good. Plays should count too though like tennese williams and such.

- HollywoodJewMoses - 10-19-2005

6!

- GonzoStyle - 10-19-2005

pimps don't read!

- lush - 10-19-2005

I've only read two of those.
Does movie adaptations count? I guess not, then still two.

- Buttmunch - 10-19-2005

at least 5 of them had to have been mandatory school readings. I never would have read native son if it wasnt required.

why dont people just knock off the shit and stop saying "graphic novel"?

it's a fucking comic book!

- Arpikarhu - 10-19-2005

i have read 14.

where the fuck is :

Lord Jim
Heart of Darkness
Brave New World
Frankenstein

just to name a few.

whoever asked why clancy wasnt on the list should have their eyes gouged out so that they can never read again.

- Goatweed - 10-19-2005

sorry, but it's far from a comic book.

spider man is a comic book.

Watchmen is a novel.

- Arpikarhu - 10-19-2005

does it have pictures in panels? its a fucking comic book. dress it up in whatever pretentious , "i dont read comic books" words that you want to, its still a comic book.

- Arpikarhu - 10-19-2005

Quote:the Watchmen series, published by DC comics

- TheGMANN - 10-19-2005

Yeah I said that earlier in the thread.

- Goatweed - 10-19-2005

I was speaking more in regards to its subject matter - but yea, technically its a book of pages consisting of pictures in panels.

I said clancy in a sarcastic manner.

and frankenstein, lord jim, and heart of darkness, were all published prior to 1923.

- Keyser Soze - 10-19-2005

Animal Farm
Catch 22
Catcher In The Rye
The Grapes Of Wrath
The Great Gatsby
Invisable Man
Lord Of The Flies
Naked Lunch
1984
On The Road
Rabbit, Run (and not on the list, Rabbit is Rich)
Slaughterhouse-Five
The Sound And The Fury
The Sun Also Rises
Tropic Of Cancer
To Kill A Mockingbird

so, 16

- GonzoStyle - 10-19-2005

lord of the flies is another one of those damn school readings that I hated.
