Sweet. I saw this that night and it was a stellar performance by him. I can't confirm this since I didn't hear it, but afterwards people claim that the guy that booked and introduced him was approached by Bush who shook his hand saying "you messed up, buddy."

Colbert is a god.

Stephen delivered a tour de force performance by doing his portrayal of a conservative lapdog, knowing full well his performance would make the other real conservative lapdogs extremely angry and barky. I applaud him and bark.

Notice how the majority of mainstream media outlets, including tv and press have tried their best to ignore this. The times which printed full coverage of the event didnt even mention colbert.
