Vacation - TheGMANN - 05-11-2006

So what else is there to see in San Francisco besides Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and alot of homos ?

- Gooch - 05-11-2006

it has great restaurants, great vibe, and very romantic place to be. Stay away from the Touristy shit. Fishermans Wharf: garbage.

Golden Gate Park and Presidio park are very nice. Walk the city. Take their subways which is a godsend compared to NYC's. See Lombard Street. Haight Street. Hang and catch the city vibe and nightlife. Alcatraz isn't bad...but try not to get suckered with Cable Cars and such. Too many tourists, and not enough of the real San Fran. North Beach is nice. Walk the Golden Gate bridge.

San Fran is a great place just to wander.

Chow: cheap and very excellent restaurant

I was trying for the last month to get SanFran Giants tix. I've always wanted to see a game at PacBell Park....shit sold out. Standing room too. Even Oakland A games are sold out. Oh well....

don't forget the famous fog city diner from so i married an axe murderer

- Luna - 05-12-2006

Consider going to Fisherman's Warf (?) and indulging in Dungeoness Crab (if you like crab you won't be disappointed and that particular crab you can't get on the east coast here).

If you are into the nature thing go over the Golden Gate Bridge thru Sausalito and go right up to Mt. Tamalpais, it's beautiful.

I plan on going to Alcatraz and getting a coffee cup with the name Vicky on it.

Oh and thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll def keep them in mind.

- diceisgod - 05-12-2006

go to the golden gate bridge and jump off

- Keyser Soze - 05-12-2006

go to the Buena Vista and have an Irish Coffee.

definitely go to The Swan for the freshest seafood in San Francisco in a lunchenette style place, but be prepared to wait...theres usually a long line. thankfully theres a japanese place next door that serves saki bombs to the folks waiting in line.

pac bell (or whatever its called this year) holds a certain amount of tickets aside for every game which you can get if you wait in line early enough. if you really need to go, get there early and get a good spot in line, theres tickets available for every game on the day of. they're also one of the few major league clubs that allow fans to resell tickets online for face value on their website. check there too for tix.

I don't know if you're trying to rattle my cage or you're serious, but there is a huge difference in the taste of fresh food and frozen food.

the only dungeoness crab you will find around here is frozen.
