thats pretty good

I assume Clemens doesn't sign, now that Matsusaka has, but still.

I also assume either Pena or Crisp gets traded for some drastically needed bullpen help.

that is pretty good indeed. But I thought there was a chance Clemens goes to Yankeeland?

- Galt - 12-13-2006

probably more likely now that he goes to NY unless the Sox want to have an angry Wakefield pitching out of the bullpen, or potentially move to a 6 man rotation (which Matsusaka is used to, and Clemens and Schilling would both benefit from), but I doubt that would happen.

But what I heard as recently as yesterday was that Red Sox situation was much more attractive to him. The whole "going home" and flexible schedule etc.

Last year it was down to the Sox or Stros, and near the end of the year, the rumors were that he regretted picking the Stros.

Sox have a solid lineup providing everyone stays healthy. Same with pitching. It will be interesting to what moves the top tier teams do to "keep" up.

Who's gonna close with papelbon starting?

- Hoon - 12-13-2006

they have no closer and that's key.
we alreayd know what a line up full of fancy names will get a team, with the yankees.

I can see Steinbrenner throwing all kinds of cash at Clemens now. He has to make a big move.
