The 2008 New York Yankees Thread - The Jays - 03-31-2008

...because I need some place to post opinions and thoughts on the team that no one else wants to hear.

Can someone please tell my why on earth Kyle Farnsworth is even alive let alone pitching for the Yankees? Has there ever been a bigger disappointment as a reliever? I was watching the game today and the commentator said that on 2 days rest in 2007 he had an ERA of 2.4 (or something along those lines) but on less than 2 days rest he had an ERA of 7.5!!!! 7.5!!! What kind of reliever sucks that bad on less than 2 days rest and has a job in this league?

I loathe him.

I am at a loss to understand what the fuck the Yankees see in him. Toniight, however, he did ok, it was Hawkins who blew goats. Kennedy wasn't swell either. I'm interested in the Rays-Yanks rivalry, if it extends beyond spring training.

Things don't look great when the Yanks can't take 2 of 3 off the Red Sox when the Sox have a Hurt Lowell and a really shitty Ortiz right now. Hopefully this upcoming series goes better.

Re: The 2008 New York Yankees Thread - Galt - 04-16-2008

Ortiz (and Papelbon) as well as the injured Lowell didn't even play in the Sunday night game against the Yankees, and the Yanks STILL couldn't win.

Yanks 15 - Red Sox 9
Tigers 13 - Indians 2
Reds 3 - Cubs 13
Rockies 10 - Padres 2
Dodgers 8 - Pirates 1
Rangers 7 - Blue Jays 5

I was wondering it during the Yankee game, but then the question seemed to pop up league wide last night. What ever happened to pitching?
