Did anyone else see this flick?

what did you think.

I will wait for a few posts before discussing too much detail to prevent an accidental info leak.

- Arpikarhu - 07-08-2002

i refuse to see a movie that glorifies a known anti-semite.

- Ken'sPen - 07-08-2002

see the film then, he is far from glorified.

That gives me even more reason to see it then :thumbs-up:

- Arpikarhu - 07-08-2002

it is only because that i know that you are young and ignorant that i dont send my killer robots over to your............killer robots?....where the fuck did that come from?.........never mind........

- Ken'sPen - 07-08-2002

I just realized the title of the thread was misleading,
because I didn't find the movie worth the hype,
it had it's moments, but it was a highly orchestrated movie.
and they went out of their way to be misleading with certain aspects.
While that is OK in a work of fiction, I find that less acceptable with works that are trying to be biographical.

- Hey Ladi - 07-08-2002

capitals & spell it wrong

I was going to rent it this weekend, but I got Gossford Park instead.

- PollyannaFlower46 - 07-08-2002

I saw the movie in January when I was on vacation in Florida and it was like 30 degrees. I thought it was good, but agree with Ken that since it was supposed to be biographical, it was a bit hokey.

How was Gossford Park, Ladi?

- IkeaBoy - 07-09-2002

Haven't seen it yet but will rent it soon.

- Hey Ladi - 07-09-2002

It was sort of intersting, but it was long.
Moved at it's own pace... but it was a good idea
and the house was very pretty, very fancy. :thumbs-up:

Oh this one guy was really hot too
he was a butler, and he's an orphan, and I can't say what happens to him. but he was nice! ;-)

Hmm...hot to you, hot to me, or hot to all womankind? Describe!

- Hey Ladi - 07-09-2002

He was tall, and dark hair, he was very brooding to
kind of a dark feeling

- PollyannaFlower46 - 07-09-2002

:loveya: Dark hair.....mmmm yum....

- Hey Ladi - 07-09-2002

he had puffy lips, or something, sort of an English Elvis feeling

- PollyannaFlower46 - 07-09-2002

Totally off subject, I want to see Pumpkin.

- Hey Ladi - 07-09-2002

What's Pumpkin?

sounds like :fucking:

From Moviefone.com
Quote:Perky, pretty Carolyn (Christina Ricci) and her sorority sisters come up with a plan to win the Sorority of the Year Award: by coaching disabled athletes in the upcoming Challenged Games. Carolyn is assigned to mentor Pumpkin (Hank Harris), and finds herself falling for his gentleness and honesty. To her friends' and his mother's horror, the two embark on a tender romance.
