Notice they didn't put greatest inventor/pioneer cause they know no one comes close to Edison.

We also own almost every sport, except hockey and soccer for the most part. Boxing, Baseball, Football, Basketball, Wrestling, Track & Field, Tennis, etc.

Britain owns on pop group and writer though.

Johannes Gutenberg. The Gutenberg press was probably the single most important invention since the wheel. Gutenberg was not as prolific as Edison, but just as noteworthy.

And since you said inventor/pioneer...Albert Einstein. Without him, we wouldn't be able to have this discussion.

- LyricalGomez - 02-02-2003

Newton>Einstein

- GonzoStyle - 02-02-2003

Actually without the invention of the telephone we wouldn't have this discussion cause we wouldn't have an internet.

- Sir O - 02-02-2003

So Bell > Einstein?

- IrishAlkey - 02-02-2003

- JimmyBlueEyes - 02-03-2003

Billy Joel has compsed the soundtrack of America, and also the soundtracks of many lives....look beyond the classical music and show tunes. If you want show tunes, Rodgers and Hammerstein.
