Gatti Vs. Ward 1 and 2 were great fights, the second lacked due to gatti's decision to box, yet the third round was an amazing sight to behold.

For his final fight, Mickey Ward has decided to fight a rubber match with Arturo Gatti, June 6th or 7th I believe is the set date for this fight.

In other news Shane Mosley has finally agreed to fight Oscar Delahoya in order to try and salvage his fading career. What seemed like a promising career and a sure way ticket to immortality as one of the best ever, Mosley was sidetracked with two ugly losses to Vernon Forrest. Mosley beat Delahoya in 1999 but that was at 147 pounds and when Mosley was undefeated and wasn't coming off two straight loses, as well as a Oscar whose head wasn't in boxing at the time. I don't see Mosley standing much of a chance at 154 pounds, coming off two defeats and facing Delahoya after the fight of his life against Vargas. This fight is scheduled for early September.

...isn't Mickey Ward a crack addict?

- GonzoStyle - 04-10-2003

No, actually mickey ward is a strange individual. He's a boxer who is more concerned with putting on a good show for the fans. He doesn't care about money, he pours his heart out in every fight and never holds back on single iota in the ring and has never dissapointed a crowd. In 50 fights his biggest purse up until his last fight was 250,000 dollars, compare that to the millions that most fighters get for a tenth of the effort he puts forth, he doesnt care much about the money and has never squabbled over it. He has never made an excuse and has never had a bad word to say about anyone, even when he was getting trashed, he is the epitome of what an old school boxer was and should be.

The fight will take place in the same local it did last time, Atlantic City, NJ.

wanna go?

Yeah, but, didn't HBO do a special on crack addicts, and he was featured on it?

- GonzoStyle - 04-11-2003

No.

As of now Jones is being offered fights with Holyfield and Byrd, he is vehimently saying no to Byrd cause he feels as do many others, it will be a very boring fight. Holyfield is interested ofcourse cause Jones has a belt and Holyfield would love to become a 5 time heavyweight champ, then he could start doing the spinarooni.

Whatever happened to Shannon Briggs???

- GonzoStyle - 04-11-2003

Shannon Briggs in the veil of Klitschko showed promise early in his career but then was unraveled. After a very controversial gift of a decicion in 1998 against George Foreman. He was humiliated by Lennox Lewis after rocking lewis in the early rounds, he was KO'ed in the 5th. His career was all downhill after that, he fought a very unimpressive fight with an aged, out of shape Franz Botha, which ended in a draw. Then his coffin was nailed shut when he was defeated in 8 rounds by an unranked nobody by the name of Sedreck Fields.

Thank you darling.
