Do you like the water, do you swim, do you have water preferences?

Pools are nice, but unnatural. I always wanted a pool as a kid & when we finally got one, we were too old & it lost it's draw. I go in maybe twice a Summer.

When I was little, my grandparents lived on a Lake. We used to spend hours in there, trying to avoid touching any seaweed or mushy ground. When I look back on it, it's really a disgusting body of water, swimming in fish shit & all.

Oceans are good, but vast & scary. I'm afraid of what I can't see under the water. Some giant fish is going to swim up & bite my foot off.

Went to Boston on vacation once & went on one of those whale watching boat trips. The best part was standing on the front of the boat in the wind. Too bad we didn't actually see any whales.

Did you at least get to go down into the cargo hold, crawl in the back seat of a car and bang some guy that was about to die in icy waters?

I swim in Lake Michigan every summer. There is a place where a lake has a channel between it and Lake Michigan and the water there is VERY clear and normally a bit warmer than most of the Public Beaches. (This is an unmarked swim area. No buoys (sp?) or lifeguards. Just a spot on the side of the road). It is about 7 miles from Michigan's Adventure (A six flags sized amusement park) and my buddy and I usually go there once a year too.

I too have a fear of what I cannot see under the water. I hate being out over my head where my feet touch no ground. It sends shivers up and down my spine.

- Goatweed - 04-24-2003

I have a pool, but I don't know how to swim :-(

- Hybrid - 04-24-2003

thats kinda lame. just jump in and start flailing. you'll get the hang of it.

- JimmyBlueEyes - 04-24-2003

I prefer the ocean. When I was in the service, we would occasionally stop our ship and drop ladders into the water and go swimming for like an hour, it was a lot of fun. The beach is cool too, riding in on the waves..bodysurfing without a board.

did you really have a mullet like your status says?
