Football season is just around the corner. And this year I am going to be running the work fantasy football. Usually we have this winning schema:
50% for the playoff winner
25% for the highest record
25% for the highest point total

My co-worker is in a baseball league that has the follow:
For every dollar you put in, it equals 1%. So if you put in $100, it equals 100%. And if you win, that's how much you win. So if you put in $50 and you win the playoffs, you get 50% of the pot. then it goes to the second person. if he put in $100, he gets the rest of the pot. With this one though, there can't be multiple winnings, just the playoff winner.

What winning schema do you people use?

putting the bulk of the winnings towards the playoff winner is retarded. The person who wins the regular season should get the vast majority of the money.

"But, the playoffs are what matter in REAL sports too", you say? Well, you're not counting the REAL playoffs, you're counting the last week or two of the regular season when many superstars sit in order to rest for the playoffs, or don't want to risk further injury when their team is way out of conention, so the teams are drastically different.

Fuck fantasy playoffs. They keep people interested, granted, but the majority of the money should go to the regular season winner.

i agree with galt. the season is long and shows a persons real ability to juggle his team. playoffs are bullshit

true.. you have a good point..

but i guess the people that have those GREAT players are SOL in the playoffs then. It gives the people that are trailing a chance to come back. So I kinda see it as fair since those good players were great for 16 weeks, and then bad in 2 weeks. Minor price to pay.

I guess you lost money on the New England/St. Louis Super Bowl. :1:

That's a retarded comment and it shows you have no reading comprehension.

1. I said that fantasy playoffs are nothing like REAL playoffs because when fantasy playoffs are played many of the best players are resting for the REAL playoffs.

2. I am from Boston, and was predicting that the Patriots would beat St. Louis the whole time.
